Oral sex more than cancer of the pharynx and larynx
Unlawful sexual practices cause a lot of health problems. The latest scientific study indicated that change sexual habits and the spread of such practices through the mouth in the United States during the past two decades has led to increased incidence of cancers of the pharynx and throat dramatically.
His researchers at the University of Texas last Wednesday in a meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research on the role of infection with human papillomavirus (HPV) human in the incidence of cancers of the head and neck, that the spread of this virus as a result of abnormal practices through the mouth leads to a tumor in the pharynx, larynx and base of the tongue.
Said Dr. Scott Lippman, a researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University who presented the report, that the studies conducted on cancerous tissue in these areas eradicated 20 years ago, showed the presence of the virus by up to 20 per cent.
However, current studies indicate that the proportion of people living with HIV has increased today to up to 60 per cent.
He added that the incidence of oral cancers have increased about 20 years ago, and that attention should be directed to reduce these sexual practices.
